About the role
Are you keen and energetic, and interested in equity trading? We are currently looking for a junior for our (sales) trading team. As Junior Trader you are involved in initiating and executing client transactions. You are responsible for monitor, assessing and control the risk’s involved for the bank. Goal is to efficiently facilitate trading without losing sight of the banks stake’s.
The Trading department consists of a single team, and within this team, the traders focus on specific sectors or a specific client group. In your position, you will develop a keen sense for the market. You will act as market maker for share trading, next to that you will be cooperating with the sales traders who are in touch with institutional clients. In addition, you will review the existing systems and develop and implement improvements.
When you join our team, you will be accepted as a fully-fledged member of the team and receive intensive support to enable you to contribute actively to the team as a junior professional and will experience the young and dynamic culture of the Securities department in particular.
Who are we looking for?
You are passionate about investing in stocks, financial markets and committed to a career in investing. The successful candidate is keen, alert, energetic and has a demonstrable affinity with and interest in equity investing. In addition, you are result-oriented and proactive, with strong communication and social skills. You have the ability to quickly assess the impact of events occurring in the stock market and act appropriately on it. A good knowledge of Excel (VBA, formulas/functions), and experience with statistics and correlations is advantageous.
